Scagnetti Fine Jewellers respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how it is protected. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
2. What We Collect
We collect only what we need to serve you: your name and contact details when you enquire, book an appointment, subscribe to our list, or place an order; delivery details for shipping; and your browsing behaviour on our site (via privacy-respecting analytics) so we can improve your experience. Payment details are processed directly by Stripe or PayPal and are never stored by us.
3. How We Use It
Your information is used to: fulfil and deliver your order; respond to enquiries and manage appointments; provide warranty and after-sales care; and — only if you opt in — send occasional updates about new collections and events. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click.
4. Who We Share It With
Only the services needed to run our business: our payment processors, our insured courier for delivery, and our booking/email providers. When you use our website chatbot, your messages may be processed by our AI providers (OpenAI and/or Anthropic) solely to generate a reply. We do not sell chat transcripts and do not store full conversation content by default. We never sell your information to anyone.
5. Security
Your data is held securely and accessed only by authorised staff. Our website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS) throughout, and payments are handled by PCI-compliant providers.
6. Your Rights

7. Cookies & Local Storage
Your shopping cart, wishlist, and pending-order return marker are stored in your browser's local storage (not cookies), so they persist on this device until you clear site data. We may also use a small number of cookies or similar technologies for anonymised analytics when analytics is enabled. Disabling cookies or clearing site data may reset your cart and wishlist.
