Broome, Australian South Sea, Tahitian and Akoya pearl jewellery, chosen for lustre and nacre. Handmade and restrung in our Cottesloe workshop, Perth.
28 pieces
Australian South Sea pearls from the waters off Broome and the Kimberley coast sit at the centre of our pearl work. Grown in the Pinctada maxima oyster, they are valued for generous size, thick nacre and a deep, soft lustre. We also work with Tahitian, Akoya and freshwater pearls when the design calls for a different colour, scale or character.
Each pearl piece is made or finished in our Cottesloe workshop. Strands are hand-knotted between pearls so a break does not scatter the strand, and we restring in house. If you are weighing a Broome pearl against an Akoya or a Tahitian, compare them side by side in natural light at the atelier. Lustre usually settles the choice faster than any description.
