A diamond pendant sits where the eye rests first, so scale and setting matter as much as the stone. The pieces here run from single bezel set diamonds and floating pendants to halo sliders, pave hearts, crosses and initial pendants, with a few statement necklaces among them, in 18ct white, yellow and rose gold and 950 platinum. Pearl and coloured stone neckwear have their own collections; this one is diamonds alone.
The setting decides the character of a pendant. A bezel wraps the diamond in a rim of metal that protects its edge and suits everyday wear; claws lift the stone and let more light through; a halo frames a centre diamond with smaller stones so it reads larger at a distance. A slider moves along its chain, while a fixed pendant stays centred, and both are finished in our own workshop.
Chain length sets where a pendant lands. Around 42 to 45 cm tends to sit at the collarbone, while longer chains drop the focal point and suit deeper necklines or layering. Try lengths at the Cottesloe atelier against the clothes you actually wear, and bring an heirloom diamond if you would like it reset as a pendant.
