A brooch is jewellery with presence: sculpture you pin to cloth rather than wear on a finger. In our Cottesloe workshop we make sculpted, often one-of-a-kind pieces in 18ct gold, each finished by hand so the form, the pin stem and the catch feel considered rather than catalogue-led. Tie pins and smaller statement pieces sit in the same family, quieter in scale but made with the same workshop care.
Commissions are welcome when you want a form that does not already exist, or when an heirloom stone or dated mount deserves a new life as a brooch you will actually wear. Bring a sketch, a photograph or the piece itself; we assess proportion, weight and how the pin will sit on fabric before any metal is committed. Seeing the collection in person at the Perth atelier is the surest way to feel the difference between a mass pin and a handcrafted one.
