A cocktail ring is the ring you wear because you love it: a stone chosen for colour and presence rather than tradition, usually worn on the right hand or beside a wedding ring rather than in place of one. This collection gathers the coloured gemstone and pearl rings from our workshop: pink, purple and green tourmaline, Ceylon sapphire, ruby, emerald and spinel, aquamarine, amethyst and tsavorite, and a kyanite sculpture ring, set in 18ct yellow, white, rose and two tone gold and 950 platinum.
Pearl rings bring a quieter kind of presence. Broome and Australian South Sea pearls sit alongside Tahitian, Akoya and black pearls, some alone and some with diamonds, from simple pearl rings in 18ct gold to sculptural and textured designs. A pearl is far softer than the gemstones here, so a pearl ring wants to come off for the gym and the garden, and to go on after perfume and lotions rather than before.
Because a dress ring is often larger than an engagement ring, proportion matters: how high the stone sits, how the band balances it, and whether it will catch on knits and gloves. We fit dress rings at the Cottesloe atelier so you can judge scale on your own hand in daylight, and resizing happens in-house. If the stone you want is not here, we can discuss making a ring to order.
