A solitaire sets a single stone above a clean band, and its appeal has never really moved: it is timeless, and it puts all of the attention on the stone. The solitaires in this collection are made in our own workshop, with claw set designs, twist and knife edge bands and pave set shoulders, in 950 platinum and 18ct white, yellow and two tone gold. Round brilliants lead, with oval, cushion and princess cut diamonds through the collection.
Because a solitaire hides nothing, cut decides everything. A beautifully cut diamond outshines a larger, poorly cut stone every time: proportions and facet precision govern how light enters the stone and returns to your eye as brilliance. We work with natural diamonds, selected and inspected in person, and for significant stones we recommend respected independent grading, most often GIA, reviewed line by line with you in the showroom. Under the loupe and in daylight, cut quality is immediately visible.
If the right ring is not in the collection, we make it. A bespoke solitaire follows the same path as every commission here: a conversation about your story and budget, sketches and CAD until the design feels right, then fabrication, setting and finishing under one roof in Cottesloe, with most commissions ready within four to eight weeks of an approved design. And because a solitaire is usually joined by a wedding band later, we think about that pairing early; bands are made on the same bench, shaped to sit flush against the ring they will live beside.
Brilliance settles in person. Book an engagement appointment in Cottesloe and compare diamonds side by side in natural light before you decide.
